Socialist Action Initiative
About
GW Socialist Action Initiative hopes to create a space to develop socialist organizers dedicated to building mass power: dedicated to building the power of workers, of tenants, of students, of oppressed communities. SAI is a multi-tendency socialist organization that encourages internal debate and discussion. We believe that no one group on the left has all the answers to the enormous challenges we face in building a mass, fighting socialist movement in this country. Our unity, even as we focus on different fields of struggle—whether that is labor and tenant organizing, anti-imperialist solidarity, on-campus abolitionist work, or political education—is rooted in the understanding of this all being the same fight: a fight that will ultimately only be successful through moving the broad masses of working people.
At SAI, we have an internal distinction between what we call "Friends of SAI" and full members. If you are just interested in hearing about what SAI is up to and attending our events, then just join on Engage. If you actually want to be an active part of the work SAI is doing, also fill out this google form and one of the members of our recruitment committee will get in contact with you in order to schedule an informal chat to see if you would be a good fit.
