No Lost Generation George Washington University

About

No Lost Generation at The George Washington University (NLG GWU) is a student organization dedicated to advocating for refugees. We work to support those affected by global refugee crises and are particularly concerned with increasing access to education for displaced and refugee youth. Our organization is the first collegiate chapter to support the global No Lost Generation Initiative, which began in September of 2015 as a partnership between the State Department, UNICEF, and the Elliott School. The four goals of our initiative are:

1) Fundraising to support aid organizations and NGOs,
2) Volunteering with refugee communities and providing support for volunteer programs,
3) Working to educate ourselves and our campus on refugee issues,
4) Involving GW students in advocating—particularly lobbying—for refugee issues.

We hold general body meetings twice per month, host regular events, connect students to volunteer and professional opportunities, and more. Visit our website, follow along on our Instagram, and sign up for our newsletter for updates!
