About
The Societa' di Cultura Italiana is an organization for GW students that are interested in the Italian language and culture. We organize Italian film screenings, dinners at Italian restaurants like Il Canale, study abroad in Italy information sessions in coordination with the GW Study Abroad Office, Italian cultural events like Carnevale celebrations, and Italian-American events in coordination with the National Italian American Foundation. We also attend events at the Italian Embassy and provide GW students with information regarding internships and scholarships at the National Italian American Foundation, Casa Italiana, the Youth and Diplomacy Language Institute, the Department of State, and the Senate as well as House of Representatives. We also provide updates on Italian politics and resources to help students with their Italian studies like one-on-one tutoring through the GW Department of Romance, German & Slavic Languages & Literatures.
