The Division for Student Affairs is currently seeking student, staff, alumni, and faculty volunteers for a special opportunity to serve on the Excellence Awards Selection Committee. Diverse perspectives from across our campus community are
very important to us as we work to select the most deserving award recipients. We would value your insight during the process and hope you will join us as a member of the selection committee.
There are two rounds of selection for the Excellence Awards. The time commitment for committee members on each round is as follows:
- Round 1 Selection Committee (20-30 members): Reading and scoring a number of nominations between March 15-March 21. Based on previous years, we anticipate that each committee member will read approximately 10-15 nominations. Round 1 scores
will determine which nominees proceed to Round 2 for additional review.
Time commitment is approximately 3-5 hours.
- Round 2 Selection Committee (15-20 members): Reading and scoring a number of nominations between March 24-March 31. Based on previous years, we anticipate that each committee member will read approximately 5-10 nominations. Round 2 Committee
Members are also expected to attend a 1-2 hour selection meeting during which finalists will be discussed and award recipients selected. This meeting will take place at the end of March, or early April.
Time commitment is approximately 4-5 hours.
If this opportunity is something you are interested in, please let us know by completing this form or directly contacting Student Life at firstname.lastname@example.org. As a note, selection committee members are still welcomed (and encouraged!) to submit nominations.
Our selection structure will ensure that you are not a reviewer of any award for which you submitted a nomination or were nominated yourself. For more information on the Excellence in Student Life Awards, please visit
